The basis of the game in MOBA games is the competition of two teams of several people on a limited-size boards. Each player controls the actions of one hero and plays a specific role in the team. Victory depends on using the individual skills of the character and good cooperation in the group.

MOBA as a game genre is derived directly from Aeon of Strife (AoS) – maps for the StarCraft game. Its expansion was the Defense of the Ancients (DotA) board in Warcraft III. The first independent MOBA title was the production of Gas Powered Games studio – Demigod.
